Nanoscience Instruments announces distribution agreement with Image Metrology for the Scanning Probe Image Processor software package

PHOENIX, AZ – Nanoscience Instruments, Inc. announced an agreement with Image Metrology, of Lyngby, Denmark, for distribution of the Scanning Probe Image Processor software package in the United States.

The Scanning Probe Image Processor (SPIP) is a modular software package for analysis and rendering of scanning probe microscope images. The software reads a very large number of formats, from most of the commercial SPM manufacturers.

The latest release of SPIP adds 3D animation tools, allowing a researcher to easily create movies of an SPM image changing view perspectives. SPIP automates the movie-making procedure - from an easy rotation to complex "fly-throughs" between atoms or nanoscale "caverns."

A detailed overview of the software, with examples, is available on the Nanoscience Instruments web site at www.nanoscience.com/products/SPIP.html

Nanoscience Instruments, Inc. provides technical sales and support as a provider of nanoscience instrumentation. Products include AFMs, STMs, NSOMs, AFM Probes and software. Additional information can be obtained at www.nanoscience.com
