Phoenix, AZ - Nanoscience Instruments today announced the introduction of a new product line, the Nanosurf® easyScan 2 scanning probe microscopes. The easyScan 2 showcases Nanosurf's trade-mark ease of use with improved modularity, increased functionality, and higher performance.

The easyScan 2 line bridges the gap between education and research, by enabling a single system to be configured as an economical, easy to use SPM purely for teaching purposes or as a highly functional, high-performance research tool that maintains the ease-of-use design philosophy.

The easyScan 2 features a completely new controller design, with improved electronics, a faster USB interface, and new easier to use software. Seven different microscope heads are now available (4 STM and 3 AFM) as well as many new modes and an open scripting interface.
