AFM Probes

AFM tipNascatec's high-quality cantilever probes are manufactured from highly-doped, single crystal silicon and are resistant to static charges and chemical attack. They feature tall (>30µm), well-defined, pyramidal tips with high aspect ratios (4:1 to 5:1) and very sharp tips (typical radii: 5nm). Many of the probe types are also available without tips for custom applications. In addition, various tip coatings are offered, including conductive and magnetic coatings, as well as diamond and conductive diamond coatings. Aluminum and gold reflex coatings are also available. Nascatec cantilevers are compatible with all major SPM brands and can be used with prealignment chips.

SNOM / NSOM Sensors

NSOM cantilever probe Nascatec silicon NSOM sensors have helped open up new areas of research by overcoming some of the limitations associated with traditional fiber NSOM probes. These cantilever-based silicon sensors utilizes a hollow, aluminum-coated, pyramidal tip with a small aperture at the apex to focus the NSOM beam. This design yields an increase in light transmission by two orders of magnitude over that of a traditional fiber probe. Offered with apertures of 50nm, 100nm, or apertureless, they are suited for various NSOM applications in industry, nanobiology, neuroscience, and genetic engineering. In addition, Nascatec NSOM probes enable topographical AFM measurements and offer AFM/SPM users the ability to incorporate NSOM measurement into their current systems, without the addition of expensive hardware.

Micro / Nano manipulation tool:  The NanogripperMicro / Nano manipulation tool:  The NanogripperThe Nascatec nanogripper is a high-precision tool engineered for manipulating the smallest particles and components. It can operate in standard atmosphere as well as in UHV conditions. Long-term tests of more than 10 million opening and closing actions of the electrostatically-driven tweezers have proven its long term stability. The nanogripper is available with a tweezer-like opening of 170 microns or 50 microns. Other tweezer openings down to 5 microns can be customized.
