Our thiols enhance the sensitivity, selectivity and specificity of chemically modified gold surfaces. An alkanethiol will stick to a gold surface and form an ordered assembly with the alkyl chains packing together. We currently offer Whitesides monothiols and aromatic-dithiols in 10mg or 25mg quantities. Larger quantities are available upon request.

Special Shipping Requirements

In order to keep the thiols cold during transport, they are packaged with blue ice (US orders only) or a dry ice alternative (all non-US orders). When ordering online, please select 'UPS Next Day Air' for destinations within the United States. For destinations outside of the US, please select one of the 'UPS Express' options. Shipments occur Monday thru Wednesday to locations within the US, and Monday or Tuesday to non-US addresses.
