Position Summary

Nanoscience Instruments markets, sells, and services scientific instrumentation. Our Phoenix headquarters needs a Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator who will assist the Operations Manager in coordinating shipments, processing orders, and managing inventory.

Significant Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Place orders with suppliers
  • Warehouse work unloading shipments with pallet jack/straddle stacker
  • Prepare domestic and international FedEx shipments and commercial invoices
  • Work with shipping companies and customs brokers
  • Provide updates to customers about delivery status as needed and provide tracking information at time of shipment
  • Processing of customer Purchase Orders for product purchases
  • Fulfill small e-commerce orders
  • Process credit card orders
  • Track consumable inventory
  • Invoicing service and repair work
  • Works with company CRM database to update contact records
  • Works with company equipment database to update equipment records
  • Works with manufacturers regarding production status of equipment
  • Can accept new responsibilities as the company grows

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Experience and comfort working with a variety of databases, both in data entry and data search and reporting
  • Great attention to detail
  • Friendly, works well with teams
  • Adapt to changing environment with changing expectations

Experience

  • Experience and comfort working with a variety of databases, both in data entry and data search and reporting
  • Experience with International shipping (harmonized codes, customs) a plus

Typical Physical Demands

  • Work Location: Indoors, heated/air-conditioned office/lab
  • Work Postures: Position is essentially sedentary; incumbent spends time walking and standing
  • Lifting/Carrying: Occasional lifting/carrying of boxes and supplies up to 50 pounds
  • Equipment: Often uses personal computer, lab equipment, copy machine, and fax machine
  • Visual Activity: Ability to view computer screens, reading scripts and reports, observing experiments (color recognition, depth perception, close-up reading)
  • Hearing: Position entails moderate amount of phone contact, incoming and outgoing
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week in the office, Monday – Friday
