Position Overview

Nanoscience Instruments is seeking an enthusiastic, personable and motivated Marketing Communication Assistant to join our team. The Marketing Communications Assistant supports the execution of marketing programs for advanced scientific instrumentation serving Academia and Industrial markets. This role contributes to lead generation, brand positioning, and customer engagement across digital channels and technical events.

Working in a highly technical environment, the position requires the ability to translate complex product information into clear, structured communications suitable for engineers, scientists, and laboratory professionals. The role interfaces closely with product management, applications scientists, sales teams, and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Email Marketing Campaigns (Technical Audience Focus)

  • Assist in developing and deploying targeted email campaigns promoting instruments, application notes, webinars, and technical resources.
  • Segment audiences by industry and application area.
  • Coordinate, build and format campaigns within marketing automation platforms.
  • Monitor performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, and lead conversions.
  • Support CRM data management and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Social Media and Technical Content Distribution

  • Draft and schedule posts highlighting applications, case studies, product features, and industry trends.
  • Repurpose technical content (white papers, blog articles, webinar recordings) into concise social media formats.
  • Coordinate visuals such as microscopy images, instrument schematics, and infographics.
  • Track engagement metrics and provide performance summaries.
  • Maintain brand consistency and technical accuracy across all platforms.

Webinars and Virtual Scientific Events

  • Support the planning and execution of technical webinars
  • Coordinate speaker logistics with product managers, applications scientists, and external collaborators.
  • Develop registration pages and promotional campaigns.
  • Host or co-host webinars, manage Q&A sessions, and moderate technical discussions.
  • Collect post-event analytics and assist in follow-up lead nurturing campaigns.

Event marketing

  • Track timelines and deliverables for brochures, videos, landing pages, and trade show materials.
  • Support logistics for exhibitions, conferences, and customer workshops.
  • Organize meetings with supplier’s marketing teams and coordinate events

Marketing Operations Support

  • Maintain marketing asset libraries (technical datasheets, images, videos, application notes).
  • Assist in updating website content related to product features, applications, and events.
  • Support lead tracking and reporting activities.
  • Contribute to campaign performance reports for management review.

PR & Communications

  • Draft press releases for sharing significant company news
  • Maintain product-specific newsletter programs for sharing resources and new product information
  • Act as a representative of the marketing department in company meetings, supplier meetings, events, and any other activities that require a “spokesperson”

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a scientific, industrial, or technical environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM platforms.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills suited to scientific and engineering audiences
  • Experience supporting webinars or technical events is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of scientific instrumentation markets (e.g., microscopy, spectroscopy, surface analysis, materials characterization) is beneficial.
