Unlocking the Power of Desktop SEM for Pharmaceutical Development and Quality Control

Abstract:

As the pharmaceutical industry grows and new products are being researched and manufactured, having access to advanced characterization tools becomes even more critical for improving development and maintaining quality.  Desktop Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) combined with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) is a powerful tool that provides valuable data quickly and easily without years of microscopy expertise required. 

In this webinar we will look at how the Phenom SEM/EDS tools can be used in a wide range of pharmaceutical analysis.  From analyzing raw material to characterizing foreign material, the Phenom is a walk up tool that is easy to use and provides actionable data within minutes.  Not only can it be used to analyze pharmaceutical product, but it is a great tool for analysis for glass delamination or investigating packaging issues and wear.   With the several automation software packages that can be installed on the Phenom, users now have access to not only particle morphology information but also the elemental composition of each particle making the Phenom essential to any Pharmaceutical workflow.
