Platen Presses
Laboratory Platen Presses
Fontijne Presses brings nearly a century of expertise in the design and manufacture of high-performance laboratory presses. Each system is engineered and assembled by an experienced in-house team, ensuring precision, reliability, and consistent quality.
A wide range of customization options is available across models, enabling configurations that align closely with specific application and process requirements. All presses are CE-certified and comply with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, as well as the EMC Directive 2014/30/EC and Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EC. In addition, Fontijne Presses operates under a certified NEN-EN-ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensuring rigorous quality control and continuous improvement.
Advanced Frame Design
A robust two-column press frame ensures uniform thickness and consistent sample geometry across the entire platen.
Accurate Temperature Control
High-quality, precisely tuned heating elements deliver uniform temperature distribution, supporting reproducible processing conditions.
Precise Force Distribution
The rigid structural design enables even force application across the full platen surface, improving consistency and material integrity.
Operator Safety
Integrated safety features, including a protective safety shield, emergency stop system, and fixed upper platen, are designed to safeguard the operator during operation.
Fontijne Laboratory Platen Presses
Available configurations
Fontijne presses are engineered for exceptional longevity, driven by robust construction and high-quality components, systems in operation for over 20 years are common. Their compact footprint and manageable weight enable easy integration into laboratory environments. In addition, each press, except LabManual series, is equipped with an intuitive touchscreen interface, simplifying operation and enhancing user control.
The LabPro series is a fully customizable, floor-standing hydraulic press platform designed to meet specific customer requirements, offering maximum flexibility and advanced functionality.
The floor-standing LabEcon series is an automated hydraulic press that incorporates key features from the flagship LabPro series, offering a balance of performance and cost-efficiency.
The LabVac series enables vacuum operation within the press chamber, minimizing oxidation and gas-related contamination. Vacuum conditions also support improved material bonding and curing, resulting in higher-quality specimens.
The LabTop series is an automated hydraulic laboratory press that retains the compact footprint of the LabManual range while integrating the ProView control system for enhanced automation and process control.
The LabManual series comprises manually operated hydraulic laboratory presses designed for benchtop use. These systems are widely utilized in laboratories for sample preparation in quality control and R&D applications.
