The Attension® Sigma Transformer Oil is purpose-built for laboratories performing routine quality control of insulating transformer oils. By combining fully automated measurements with integrated ASTM D971 and IEC 62961 standard methods, the system delivers fast, reliable, and repeatable testing while minimizing user intervention.

Unlike traditional force tensiometers that require manual method development, Sigma Transformer Oil allows operators to select standardized test methods directly from the instrument’s touchscreen. Built-In ASTM & IEC Standard Methods

Sigma Transformer Oil includes pre-configured ASTM D971 and IEC 62961 testing methods specifically developed for transformer oil analysis. Operators simply select the desired standard from the touchscreen, and the instrument automatically performs the measurement using the appropriate workflow, eliminating manual method setup.

Standalone Touchscreen Operation

Routine transformer oil testing can be performed directly from the integrated touchscreen without requiring a connected computer. The intuitive interface provides guided workflows that simplify operation, reduce training requirements, and ensure standardized testing procedures across laboratories.

Easy Data Transfer

Sigma Transformer Oil uses USB-C connectivity for transferring data from the standalone unit to a PC or smart phone. The instrument stores up to 100 measurements to ensure experimental data is never lost between transfers and builds automatically generated PDF reports for easy export of results.

Fully Automated Measurements

Once the sample has been prepared, Sigma Transformer Oil performs the measurement automatically. Automated positioning and measurement sequences reduce operator variability while improving repeatability and laboratory efficiency.

Automated Standards-Based Reporting

Following each measurement, Sigma Transformer Oil automatically generates reports formatted to align with ASTM D971 and IEC 62961 reporting requirements. This simplifies documentation, improves traceability, and reduces the time required to prepare quality control records.
