Polymer Scientist

We are especially interested in candidates with a background in polymer science, materials science, chemistry, or a related field, ideally with hands-on experience in polymer processing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage polymer processing projects for diverse clients, which may include electrospinning and polymer compounding.
- Interface with clients to define project scope, optimize processes, and communicate results.
- Conduct hands-on experiments, prepare samples, and develop standard operating procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with quality management standards and document procedures accordingly.
- Prepare written and oral reports detailing project progress and outcomes.
- Support polymer processing systems and related applications with SEM.
- Participate in pre-sales and post-sales support, including training, conferences, and workshops.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to communicate scientific concepts to a wide audience.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support and assist with troubleshooting.
- Coordinate web demos and utilize instrumentation for proof-of-concept testing.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to solve customer challenges.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field (required)
- Masters (5 – 10 years experience) or PhD (0 – 2 years) (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with the electrospinning processes or polymer compounding.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects and communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation.
- Strong writing and presentation skills, with a knack for translating complex data into actionable insights.
- A passion for science and an intensely curious mindset toward exploring new materials and methods.
- Travel: up to 10% as needed
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
