Polymer Scientist

We are especially interested in candidates with a background in polymer science, materials science, chemistry, or a related field, ideally with hands-on experience in polymer processing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage polymer processing projects for diverse clients, which may include electrospinning and polymer compounding.
  • Interface with clients to define project scope, optimize processes, and communicate results.
  • Conduct hands-on experiments, prepare samples, and develop standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management standards and document procedures accordingly.
  • Prepare written and oral reports detailing project progress and outcomes.
  • Support polymer processing systems and related applications with SEM.
  • Participate in pre-sales and post-sales support, including training, conferences, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to communicate scientific concepts to a wide audience.
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate web demos and utilize instrumentation for proof-of-concept testing.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to solve customer challenges.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field (required)
  • Masters (5 – 10 years experience) or PhD (0 – 2 years) (preferred) 
  • Hands-on experience with the electrospinning processes or polymer compounding.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Experience operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, with a knack for translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • A passion for science and an intensely curious mindset toward exploring new materials and methods.
  • Travel: up to 10% as needed
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
