Electrospinning & Electrospraying
Fluidnatek® Dry Heating Unit (DHU)
An intermediate temperature and humidity control component for electrospinning and electrospraying that allows consistent, quality nanoscale materials for advanced research to product development scale production. An ideal unit when processing solutions requiring low humidity and/or increased temperature.
Temperature Increase Control
Air temperature within the chamber can be increased from room conditions to 45 ºC with a stability of ±1 ºC.
Humidity Decrease Control
Relative humidity within the chamber can be decreased from room humidity conditions to <10% with a stability of ±5%, depending on temperature.
Automated Air Flow Control
Continuously communicates to automate air flow during sample processing to tightly maintain temperature and relative humidity set points during production.
Active Exhaust Regulation
Provides high air exchange rates and a slightly negative chamber pressure to ensure that the spinning environment remains stable during production with no build-up of solvent vapor.

Self-contained unit with independent temperature & relative humidity control
The DHU is an external self-contained system that independently regulates temperature (RT up to 45 ºC) and relative humidity (ambient RH down to 25% at 25 ºC, or down to 10% at 45 ºC) and introduces a conditioned air stream into the spinning cabinet. The DHU is intended to reduce the overall moisture content to the desired point. Downstream, the dried air flows through a heater that increases the temperature to the set point before it enters into the cabinet. The chamber air is continuously exhausted from the cabinet to avoid solvent accumulation in the chamber, preserving the processing conditions and ensuring stable performance and a safe process.
