Product Overview
Ivium offers a range of optional modules that can be used with their potentiostats to extend their functionality. This enables you to increase the maximum voltage or current of your potentiostat as well as connect your potentiostat to multiple cells for sequential measurements. There are also modules to add a bipotentiostat and allow you to connect multiple potentiostats to the same working electrode in your electrochemical cell. Finally, communication modules are available for storing data or connecting remotely via Wi-Fi.
IviumBoost1001
The IviumBoost 1001 is designed to boost the compliance voltage of your existing Ivium potentiostat to 100V. Additional compliance voltage may be required in cell with highly resistive media like organic solvents or when the concentration of electrolyte salt is low.

IviumBoost10012
The IviumBoost 10012 is designed to boost the compliance current of your existing Ivium potentiostat to 100 A. In addition the booster is stackable, so multiple boosters can be combined to increase the current further. High currents are required for high energy storage devices like batteries, fuel cells and electrolyzers, and flow batteries.

OctoBoost16000
The OctoBoost16000 is a multiple channel booster that can boost the current output of your existing Ivium potentiostat to 16 A. Adjacent channels can also be combined to further boost the current output reaching a maximum of 128A, if desired. The OctoBoost can be used with a multiple channel instrument like the OctoStat or Ivium-N-Stat or with multiple single channel instruments.

WE4
The WE4 works with your existing Ivium potentiostat to allow 4 simultaneous potentiostatic controlled measurements in the same cell. The module connects directly to your Ivium potentiostat cell connector and comes with a special cable to enable connection to the additional working electrodes. Simultaneous measurements can be made with Linear Sweep Voltammetry, Cyclic Voltammetry, Chronoamperometry and constant potential impedance where the same potential is applied to each electrode. Sequential measurements can be made with all techniques. Application areas include nanotechnology, sensor development, biotechnology and medical research.

uMux
The uMux enables an Ivium potentiostat to be connected to 8 separate electrochemical cells sequentially. Each cell can have independent working, reference and counter electrodes. Upto 8 uMux modules can be used with one potentiostat expanding the number of cells to 64.

HiMux.XR
The HiMux.XR is similar to the uMux except that it maintains the working sense and reference leads connected to the cell to avoid large current spikes when switching the active channel. Up to 8 HiMux modules can be combined with a single potentiostat, connecting 64 cells.

CE Link
The CE link allows for 2 potentiostats to be connected to a shared counter electrode without galvanic isolation. This is particularly useful when making a bipotentiostat out of 2 Ivium potentiostats as well as hydrogen permeation measurements with the Devanathan method. In a bipotentiostat configuration, the maximum current capability of each potentiostat is available (up to 5A).

External Bipotentiostat
The external Bipotentiostat module creates a bipotentiostat from your existing Ivium potentiostat providing the potentiostat has a 15-pin peripheral port. The second working electrode can either be set at a fixed potential or the potential can be scanned at a fixed offset with respect to the main working electrode.

Low Current Module

µDataSecure
The µDataSecure is a smaller version of the DataSecure data storage module. µDataSecure stores your experimental data independently of the controlling PC. It has memory for a large number of data points. If your PC gets disconnected either intentionally or unexpectedly, the µDataSecure allows your experiment to continue running to completion. The data can be retrieved subsequently.

iBlue
The iBlue is a battery pack with integrated Bluetooth connection. Your Ivium potentiostat is plugged into the USB port and the provided Bluetooth dongle allows wireless connection to your computer. The battery pack incorporated into the iBlue can power the PocketStat2 making a truly portable system.

MCF cell (Magnetic Clamping Flat Cell)
The MCF cell is a corrosion and coating measurement cell kit for flat steel samples. A soft silicone rubber seal ensures that the test solution stays inside the cell for predictable results. It can be mounted in horizontal or vertical situations making it suitable for field measurements on coated steel structures like bridges. The MCK cell kit contains 2 magnetic cells which can be used on structures where access to the underlying metal surface is restricted or unavailable.

ModuLight
The ModuLight is a programmable light source for use in investigating photovoltaic devices, such as solar cells. Full characterization of the solar cell is possible and includes IV curves as a function of the light intensity, Intensity Modulated Photo-current and Photo-voltage Spectroscopy, IMVS/IMPS, and solar cell modelling. Modulight works in combination with EIS-enabled Ivium potentiostats with an auxiliary Input/Output port.
